Silencer for dust extraction stack

SUPPLY SCOPE:

Supply and installation of circular silencer for dust extraction exhaust stack to reduce noise emissions to nearby residential areas.

To permit installation, the stack was disconnected from the system, lowered, cut on site and re-erected complete with the new silencer. The 1350mm diameter x 3500mm long silencer was designed with thick outer walls to improve the level of low frequency performance.

External surfaces of the unit were painted with a 2-coat epoxy coating.

PRODUCT SELECTION AND PERFORMANCE

In order that the airflow of the existing system was not affected, the silencer was supplied without a central baffle / pod. Thus, the overall performance of the silencer offered was 14-15dBA.
