The design of acoustic products follows the review of the consultation and assessment. The specification and design recommendations are drawn up and processed ready to be presented to the client for approval.
Once the challenges of the acoustic product are passed and the design is approved the acoustic equipment begins the manufacturing stage.
Upon completion of the manufacturing stage, the acoustic product is reviewed and checked before installation.
This initial site assessment is vital to ensure that the products manufactured by Wakefield Acoustics are designed and supplied in line with the required specification and can be installed on site safely and effectively.

Installation process
Wakefield Acoustics offers a full site installation service for our entire range of noise control equipment, both in the UK and overseas.
Prior to any activities taking place on site, our experienced project managers and engineering teams undertake a detailed survey to assess the installation methodology and determine the potential safety risks. This initial site assessment is vital to ensure that the noise control products manufactured by Wakefield Acoustics are designed and supplied in line with the required specification and can be installed on site safely and effectively. This forms the basis of our design risk assessment.
Safety to our operatives and others whilst on site is a key consideration, and the works are always undertaken to the highest safety standards, and in compliance with site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Wakefield Acoustics also holds ISO 45001:2015 representing our commitment to occupational health and safety.
Our installation operatives carry a range of safety qualifications and have undergone training in the safe use of site equipment, including:
- CSCS
- SSSTS
- PASMA
- IPAF
- IOSH
In addition to the full installation service we offer, we can also provide working supervisors on projects where the client intends to utilise their own workforce on major plant installations

What is involved in the initial site assessment?
Our initial site noise assessment ensures that products manufactured by Wakefield Acoustics are designed to provide adequate noise reduction at site. Prior to fabrication of our products, our engineers will attend site to undertake a full survey to ensure a smooth manufacture and installation process.
Where do you provide installation services?
We offer installation services both in the UK and overseas. Full installation services are offered within the UK. For overseas projects, Wakefield Acoustics can offer a site supervisory role during installation phase, to ensure correct fitting of the products
