Acoustic Plant Screens

Wakefield Acoustics design, manufacture and install a range of acoustic plant screens for industrial and commercial applications.

In many instances, it is not always practical to install full acoustic enclosures to reduce noise emissions. This can be due to ventilation requirements, or sometimes the sheer size or complexity of the noise source. In these instances, an acoustically absorbent screen or acoustic barriers can be erected to reduce sound transmission, which absorbs noise to provide a high level of noise reduction.

Industrial acoustic screen

We work with clients to solve noise problems across a number of industries, from industrial manufacturing facilities to contractors with acoustic screens for construction sites on new commercial and residential developments. Our acoustic screen solutions are cost-effectively designed to meet the most challenging of acoustic requirements.

Acoustic screens construction

Wakefield Acoustics premium acoustic plant screen designs are tailored to suit the particular application, size and site location. Our constructions range from a pre-assembled modular build, through to site-built panel screens with integrated support steelwork. Please refer to below for details of optional features of our screens. Additional information is available in the downloadable product catalogue.

Acoustic screens make an ideal noise reduction solution for mechanical plant equipment, shielding excessive noise between operating areas and noise-sensitive areas.

Our full range of acoustic plant screens has been independently tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010 ‘International Standard Method for Measurement of Airborne Sound Insulation of Building Elements’ to determine Sound Reduction Indices.
